Rose Oil Painting Sketch

I tried to capture the beautiful simplicity of a rose. I used oil paints because of their wonderful blending abilities and felt that it would perfectly represent the deep, dark reds. It also reminds me of 'The Beauty And The Beast' which was one of my favourite disney movies growing up.
