I bought the plant with my mum, and we were both captivated by how the petals shift from soft pastel pinks to warm reds and fiery sunset tones. I wanted to honour that energy in this piece — it’s playful and expressive, with a mix of delicate colour washes, bold brushstrokes, and scraped textures that add a tactile quality. The result feels alive and glowing, like the flowers are still catching the fading light of day.
