To me gardening is very much a part of my creative process. Being surrounded by nature; the beautiful colours, heady scents and the low humming of the bumble bees, is what fills me with inspiration. Very often I sit and watch the light and shadow dance across the daisy petals, and time just dissolves.

This painting is a combination of my favourite plants I have cultivated over the years, some even grown from seed. I wanted to capture that feeling of safety, being enveloped by flowers, and ultimately becoming a part of the nature.

That’s the feeling that I hope to give you when you see this painting. When you walk part it every morning and feel refreshed and enlightened by the beautiful glow of the daisies.
