I wanted to balance softness with structure — creating a painting that feels both still and full of movement. I used a mix of hard and soft edges, so it almost feels like the petals are being gently stirred by wind. The deep blue-violet background gives a sense of sophistication, like it’s glowing from within. There’s something timeless about magnolias — and I wanted to honour that with this moody, graceful little study.
