8x10" Oil on canvas

This painting took 5 months to complete. Of course, I wasn’t working on it that whole time. But halfway through it wasn’t ‘working’ and I couldn’t figure out why.

Months later I realised...it needed a different medium. So this piece was finished in oils and instantly I knew it was right again. This signifies how sometimes in life, it only takes one small thing to change for things to flow again.

I named this ‘Frozen Rose’ because it was as though it had been frozen in time. The icy greens and blues that surround it contrast beautifully with it’s warm & vibrant petals.
