Out of the many beautiful varieties, my favorite is the English rose. They’re timeless in their traditional beauty and this painting was inspired by a rosebush in a cottage garden.

I wanted to keep it simple with the classic pinks and greens that speak Summer. The playful brush strokes give a beautiful texture that can be enjoyed up close.
